Tenly's First Few Weeks At Home

As you can see we have become those crazy parents who are uncontrolably taking photos of their daughter or children. We just can't get enough of her! We just wanted to share some photos with you, especially those of you who don't get a chance to spend time with her.

We have also been to the doctor twice in her first month and Dr. Bacon says we are doing so well at home, that she has no advice for us. Were not doing too bad as first time parents. Yeah! Tenly gained back all of her birth weight plus 2 oz before her first doctor's visit, which was a week after she was born. Tenly then gained 11 oz during the 2nd week, so needless to say she is not starving.

We are also looking forward to Papa's (Carly's Dad) first vistit with Tenly this thursday.

Belly Pictures

These are a little late, only because we just got these from our photographer Justin (Ty's Friend). But Justin came over on March 2nd at 11:00 am. We took photos until 2:00 pm and my contractions started at 3:00 pm an hour later. We couldn't have had better timing, to have been able to take these photos only hours before we went to the hospital and about 15 hours before she was born. Thanks again Justin, we love them!

Welcome Home Baby Tenly

To all our friends and family. We have created this blog to keep all of you updated on beautiful Tenly and our family. This way everyone can always see pictures of her. Thank you for all of your love and support through our pregnancy and the arrival of Tenly. We couldn't have done it without you. We love you all.

On March 3rd at 6:57 am we welcomed our first beautiful little girl Tenly Kay Fenton. We started having contractions at 6pm on Wednesday night and we arrived at the hospital at 10:30 pm. Thank goodness for epidurals, Carly received one hour later and couldn't have been more thankful. She was able to sleep in the middle of the night for a few hours.

On a little side note, we loved our nurse Lindsay so much and we knew that her shift ended at 7 am, we wanted Lindsay to be here for the baby's arrival. So needless to say we started pushing before 6 and before we knew it Tenly was here before Lindsay had to leave. Labor and delivery went very well. Carly did a great job and stayed strong through the whole process.

Tenly weighed 7 lbs 2 oz and was 20 3/4 inches long. Were not being bias at all, but Tenly is absolutely beautiful and we could't be more excited about her arrival. We stayed in the hospital until Saturday and we all made it home safely in the late afternoon. Our first few days home have been great. We are all adjusting as time passes but couldn't be happier.
